Veganism Day 1

When I eat live food, I feel alive. When I eat dead food, I feel…well…not alive :/

I’ve done veganism before, and to be honest, I never felt better. The only problem I had was getting enough protein, but I’ve since figured out how via personal research. I’m venturing into veganism again because I miss the high energy level. With school, work, planning a wedding, blogging, and training for this half-marathon, I don’t have enough energy. I want my energy back, and veganism helps me achieve that. I’m not saying this will be my diet permanently, but it’s going to be my diet for now and for the next few months.

This is my friend Chelsi. She’s one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet, and she’s got family, loads of friends, and a boyfriend who are all worried for her. She went missing yesterday, and she’s now classified as a runaway.. Which is insane because she’s definitely not that type of person..I’m not going to guilt you into reblogging this. I’m going to ask. If you could take 4 seconds and hit reblog, it could cause the right person to see this and bring her home. You’d want this to spread too, if this was your friend, or your sister, or your daughter. Please just reblog this. I promise it won’t hurt your blog’s reputation. We just want her home. Thank you.

…In 1967, the U.S. Supreme Court considered the case of Richard Perry Loving, who was white, and his wife, Mildred Loving, of African American and Native American descent.
The case changed history - and was captured on film by LIFE photographer Grey Villet, whose black-and-white photographs are now set to go on display at the International Center of Photography.
In 2007, 32 years after her husband died, Mrs Loving - who herself passed away the following year - released a statement in support of same-sex marriage. She said: ‘Not a day goes by that I don’t think of Richard and our love, our right to marry, and how much it meant to me to have that freedom to marry the person precious to me, even if others thought he was the “wrong kind of person” for me to marry I believe all Americans, no matter their race, no matter their sex, no matter their sexual orientation, should have that same freedom to marry.’

I Used To Be A Girl Scout…

…and so I’m very familiar with their delicious cookies. I didn’t purchase any last year because I was kick ass with my running and weight loss, and even though Joseph sent me a text telling me someone at his job was selling them, I’m not going to purchase any this year.

Instead, I will have Joseph to purchase them, and I will mail them to my mom. That way, I will at least have the chance to look at the box and see the fat and calories pass my by.

*It doesn’t erase the fact that I want some Samoas soooooooo bad!!

Why…

…am I training as though I don’t have a half-marathon coming up in June?
