Spinning
I completed my first spin class today, and I managed to live. It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Running has prepared me for using my legs in strenuous activities. However, my thighs feel extra tight right now, and those seats aren’t made for women with big butts. My behind is so bruised…
…other than that, it was a great workout. I doubt that I will become a...

Veganism Day 1
When I eat live food, I feel alive. When I eat dead food, I feel…well…not alive :/
I’ve done veganism before, and to be honest, I never felt better. The only problem I had was getting enough protein, but I’ve since figured out how via personal research. I’m venturing into veganism again because I miss the high energy level. With school, work, planning a wedding,...

I Used To Be A Girl Scout...
…and so I’m very familiar with their delicious cookies. I didn’t purchase any last year because I was kick ass with my running and weight loss, and even though Joseph sent me a text telling me someone at his job was selling them, I’m not going to purchase any this year.
Instead, I will have Joseph to purchase them, and I will mail them to my mom. That way, I will at least...

Get It On The Floor
Via my Yoga Journal Daily Insight:
Chances are, when you think of sitting, you think of chairs and sofas (and maybe even the toilet seat) before you think of the floor. But though this seems only natural to modern-day Westerners, who’s to say this is the natural order of things? After all, humans were sitting long before La-Z-Boys and desk chairs were invented. As it turns out, spending...

For Real, For Real
Last week, I went home to Atlanta, GA, and I had a wonderful time. It was nice to eat southern food, hang out with family and friends, and visit some of my favorite spots. However, there was one thing that was nerve wrecking…wedding dress fittings.
OMG, I have never felt so fat in my life! I swear those dresses automatically shrink when you walk into the store. I had to try on dresses two...

A Difference
When I first started running, I was afraid of the treadmill. I only ran outside, and when I did start running on the treadmill, I hated it. Fast forward to today, and it’s been a while since I’ve ran consistently outside because I enjoy the treadmill. However, I’ve noticed a difference, and running outside gives me that toning in my body that a treadmill just can’t do....
I ran 4 Miles in 40 Minutes...
…and my mind is clear. I have yoga later on tonight. Maybe my mind will become translucent.

Since I've Started Back Running / Training...
…I want to set a goal for myself. I’m starting out small, so my goal will be to run 15 miles a week for the next month. After that, I will increase it to 25 miles per week and so on.
Today At The Gym...
I walking lunges (3 sets of 20 w/10 lbs), squats (3 sets of 10 w/25 lbs), leg extensions (3 sets of 10 w/60 lbs), glutes (3 sets of 10 w/60 lbs), ran 3 miles w/a 10 minute mile, and sat in the sauna for 15 minutes.
The Beast Mode is coming back to life. I think the wedding bells woke her ass up.
vakoilija asked: Hi! I don't know you, and know little about you, but I found your blog at random awhile ago and have been following your progress with running. I started running and hiking a couple of years ago to cross train for horseback riding, and to help with my back injury, and I wanted to let you know that your blog is so motivating! Thank you for sharing the nitty gritty and staying so...

Today I Ran On The Treadmill...
…and I was shocked as to the amount of energy I had. I was going!
Well, I could’ve done better, but seeing that I haven’t ran in so long, I thought I did well. I guess that’s due to the fact that I was so pissed from today at work, that I knew I had to either take my emotions out in the gym or eventually hurt someone at work.
I think I chose wisely because now I feel...

I Just Went Running At Mt. Lemmon...
…and my lungs hurt!! Joseph wanted to be Superman and start us at 6000 feet. *blank effing stare* I didn’t even make it half of a mile before my throat and chest felt like they were about to burst.
We’re going back tomorrow, but we’re going to do what I suggested from the start, and that’s to begin at the bottom of the mountain. Now if you will excuse me, I have a...

While Viewing These Photos...
…I went down memory lane.
Our campsite was four miles away from the village, which was the only location to get hot food (since we weren’t allowed to cook on the campsite). In other words, we had to hike four miles to eat, and hike four miles back to the campsite afterwards. That was a total of eight miles, just to eat!!! You had to do it because there was no car, bus, or train. You...
